Continental ABS continuously and individually adjusts braking pressure to each wheel, for precise braking without wheel lock up. The front features a 320mm, single floating disc with a 4-piston Brembo® caliper. The rear gets a 220mm single disc with a single piston caliper.
Inspired by professional superbikes, the rear swing arm and suspension ingeniously connect via a multi-link structure, reducing squat and managing compression for improved stability, control, and ride quality.
Often found in professional racing motorcycles, it involves reversing the shifter connecting rod (a simple modification). Reverse shifting allows faster gear changes and is ideal for accelerating out of corners. Upshifts are made by pushing the lever down, and downshifts by pulling it up.
It’s a 50-hp wake-up call to every 500-class sport bike. The 450cc, parallel-twin, DOHC engine is a totally new design characterized by a 270° crankshaft angle. Precision-engineered balance shafts counteract vibrations, ensuring smooth operation across the rev range.
LED headlights, with exclusive lighting animation, create an intense and captivating gaze. The clean, crisp appearance of LED lighting—headlight, turn signals, and taillight—elevates fit and finish to the highest level.
“A liquid-cooled 450cc DOHC engine with a 270-degree crank and a bore and stroke of 77.0mm x 55.2mm produces a claimed 50 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28.8 lb.-ft. of torque at 7,600 rpm. With a claimed curb weight of 370 pounds, the power-to-weight ratio looks promising.” -Evan Allen, Cycle World
“As far as design, the 450SS was put through “extensive aerodynamic wind tunnel testing,” and GP racing-derived winglets enhance stability by providing a claimed 1.6 times downforce at higher speeds.” -Rider Magazine
“Among the most important features on any motorcycle is the motor, and the CFMOTO 450SS packs a pretty impressive one. It is a 450cc, dual overhead-cam, Inline Twin that produces 50 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and an equally impressive 28.8 lb-ft of torque at 7,600 rpm. And yes, this makes it the most powerful stock motor in the sub-500cc sportbike category.” -Motorcycle.com
“The chromoly steel frame, aluminum alloy wheels, and a 3.8-gal fuel tank contribute to a trim 370-lb wet weight. It has a 53.5-inch wheelbase and a 31-inch seat height.” -PowerSports Business
“CFMOTO is carving out a space in the U.S. market with motorcycles that don't skimp on features but cost less than Japanese and European competitors.” -Lance Oliver, RevZilla
“The CFMOTO 450SS has an exciting design. It flaunts an edgy fascia with sleek LED headlights up top, flanked by sporty fairings and faux carbon fiber aerodynamic winglets. This is complemented by an equally splendid tail end featuring a unique tail lamp paired with aerodynamic spoilers.” -Punya Sharma, TopSpeed
